Dear TOMS Shoes,
I took the opportunity to write you this letter because I wanted to let you know how highly I think of your company for starting this movement to help people all over the world through the simple act of giving. I believe that the concept of One for One has helped not only the recipients of TOMS shoes in impoverished countries but has also helped spark in people a sense of charity that will pave the way for more and more support for the TOMS movement. Living in a third world country, I have grown accustomed to seeing children running around and playing in dirty water without shoes. This is a common sight here in the Philippines and despite the fact that I want to buy each of them a pair of shoes, I know that the extent of my capacity to help them is limited since I am just a student in high school.
When I first heard of your movement, I was in awe at how ingenious the concept seemed; to be able to help people of various walks of life by just buying a pair of shoes- what a wonderful notion! Any helplessness I may have felt at being so young and unable to aid those in need in countries such as Ethiopia vanished instantly. I finally felt that I could make and be a part of a greater change in the world.
This holiday season, I asked my parents to buy me a pair of TOMS shoes. Upon purchasing it, I didn’t just feel the initial satisfaction of having new shoes; more than this, I felt that in receiving a Christmas gift from my mom and dad, I also played a part in giving a child in need his/her own Christmas gift this year: a brand new pair of TOMS. I truly felt the spirit of Christmas in my heart.
Whilst in the store, my mom saw a pair of TOMS that she liked as well. I was ecstatic when they came home because I knew that not just one, but two kids would be getting a new pair of shoes. It isn’t Christmas yet but I’ve already worn my new Aira Cordones. In doing so, I’ve managed to make others aware of the TOMS movement; thus far, three people in my group of friends have bought their own pair.
I am so glad to be a part of your movement and I applaud you for your innovativeness, sense of charity, and hard work. I hope that one day, I can be a part of your TOMS Shoe Drops; for now, though, rest assured that I will continue to spread the word in the hopes of helping your company brighten the lives of others and pave the way for a better future for children all over the world.

Some of you may have seen the TOMS Shoes AT&T Commercial that has been playing nationwide. I have been told that tonight the latest TOMS Shoes commercial will air during American Idol.
This is huge and great exposure for TOMS to millions of people. Congrats again Blake and company for inspiring people by doing inspiring things or “doing good, by doing well” as Blake explains in the commercial.
