Ok, we’ve posted about the great cause of TOMS shoes to give a pair of shoes to kids who may not have any with every purchase. Now I want to know your thoughts on if you think these shoes can become fashionable, trendy, and become as popular as other shoes like Uggs and Crocs.
I am not a trendy kind of guy, so I would like to hear from those of you who are more in the know about fashion and trends. Do TOMS have a shot at becoming popular throughout the US, Europe and other countries or are they going to go as far as the great cause can carry them?
Personally, I think they are stylish, and like Crocs could generate a big following because of the simplicity and multiple color options. Unlike other shoes, I think there will be many people who will buy multiple pairs of TOMS in different colors.
I feel passion will be the biggest factor in the success of TOMS. The passion the Blake Mycoskie, founder and Chief Shoe Giver, shows for the cause, the grassrootsmarketing through the Internet, and their “road show” traveling the nation to get their message out will prove to be the key drivers to the future success of the TOMS brand. This passion and compassion through their cause will drive passion towards their brand which is a key factor in a companies success. Passion gets people talking about your product and your customers become your marketing department.
Hmmm. It looks like something is working since they already have a TOMS Shoe fan site devoted to their brand.
And on top of all that, they have a great cause that people can get behind.
Well tonight we started the “Unofficial” TOMS Shoe Fans Blog. After being inspired by the TOMS Shoes Story on “The Big Idea” I started to think about how I could help in a small way to further the TOMS Shoe cause. If you are unfamiliar with TOMS Shoes, read the TOMS Shoes Story.
The purpose of this blog is to help get more shoes sold, so more kids around the world can receive a pair of shoes where they wouldn’t otherwise. We will follow the company and their efforts and post various comments, news, images, videos, and just about anything we can think about related to the shoes and company.
If you agree with the TOMS cause and would like to help let us know. We are always looking for news and information that you have seen or heard about the company or shoes. Send us you pictures of your TOMS shoes, people wearing TOMS shoes, videos of you explaining why you love your TOMS, or just tell us hi. Email me at david@tomsshoefans.com. I would love to hear from you.
